The Building

The building commonly known as the Fort Wayne Masonic Temple is a cultural and architectural icon of the city.  Built in 1923 it stands as a testament to neoclassical architecture, the growth of downtown at that time, and the importance of the Masonic Fraternity in American culture.

The People

The Board of Directors for the 216 East Washington Boulevard Foundation consists of nine Directors, selected by the membership, for the purpose of setting the direction of the Fondation and awarding grants which meet the criteria and mission of the Corporation for the preservation of the building.

Fundraising

The Foundation exists to preserve the building so that it may remain as an icon of the time and place from which it came.  We issue grants to repair and preserve the building in service of those goals.  To do so, we raise money through memberships, fundraisers, and interested parties giving us money in their estates or as donations.
